A Certified B Corporation is a company that has voluntarily met the highest standards for social and environmental performance. These standards are intentionally set high and are meant to recognize leading companies. The standards are developed independently and cover a company’s impact in key areas, including Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers.
At Fracking Design, our commitment extends personally, institutionally, and legally to ensuring that our decisions prioritize the long-term well-being of both the community and the environment.
In pursuit of becoming a B Corporation, we underwent a thorough and exhaustive evaluation process that assesses the company’s positive impacts across various spheres: employees, governance, environmental stewardship, community engagement, client relationships, and our business model. Furthermore, we revised our company bylaws to include clauses that obligate us to factor in considerations for workers, the community, and the environment in all decision-making processes.
We chose to pursue certification because it signifies our dedication to operating our business with purpose and transparency, going beyond mere financial metrics. This ethos aligns with the emerging paradigm of the new economy, which emphasizes the responsibility of companies, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and small business owners alike to prioritize social and environmental concerns alongside financial ones.
